Congratulations ! This is the good season to make this recipe!

Ingredients

Cookware

  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 large pan/skillet
  • Paper towels

Preparation

  1. Beat the egg with the three teaspoons of sugar in a bowl then add the milk. Cut the stale bread into slices about 3/4 inch (2 cm) thick. Soak the slices of bread in the bowl mixture for a few minutes to soften them. If you are using brioche, make sure to not soak the slices for too long.

  2. Pour a little bit of oil in a pan. Once hot, cook each slice in the oil for a few minutes on each side. When done, set them on paper towels to absorb some of the oil.

  3. Sprinkle with powdered sugar for a finishing touch.

Final Thoughts...

  • An easy way to avoid throwing out dry bread and then turn it into something delicious! Smiley This is also a good way to use leftover brioche :)
