Ingredients
4 salmon steaks (each about 3/4 inch (2cm) thick)
2 tablespoons oil
Thyme and bay leaves
3 lemons
Salt and pepper
Green lettuce
Cookware
George Foreman grill
1 bowl
1 juice press
1 pastry brush
Preparation
Rinse the fish with water. Marinate for a few minutes in a mixture of 2 tablespoons oil, the lemon juice from half of one lemon, thyme and crumbled bay leaves. Drain
Grill for 5 to 6 minutes. Check for doneness by piercing the skin to see if it pulls away easily. Put a small piece of salted butter on the salmon steaks and spread the butter with a brush as it melts. Garnish with lettuce and a halved lemon. Serve hot.
Variation: Instead of butter, you can use anchovy cream.
For a "heavier" version, the salmon can be served with mashed potatoes and/or green beans ;-)
