- 1/4 cup (30g) flour 
 - 2 tablespoons (30g) butter 
 - 2 cups (500ml) milk  
 - Salt, pepper 
 - 1 pinch of nutmeg

- In a saucepan, stir the butter and flour together over low heat until the mixture is foamy and bubbling 
 - Add the milk all at once
 - Salt and pepper 
 - Bring to a boil and whisk until thickened 
 - Let simmer for a few minutes
